I chose to paint my glasses, as they are definitely something I wear the most. Inspiration for this painting came from the artist Cristina Troufa. Troufa paints unfinished self portraits in birght colours, sometimes portraying herself three times in a painting. I added hints of blue and yellow in skin, which i could see in my own skin in certain light. I am quite pleased with how this painting turned out, I feel as though the bright yellow background really makes it pop. If i were to change anything about this painting it would be to add more shap and structure to the nose and try achieve more realism in the hair, as I feel as though it is a bit flat.
